City & Housing Tips

Singapore is compact and most condos allow cats (HDB flats officially do not permit cats, though enforcement varies). Private condos and landed properties are cat-friendly. The island has excellent veterinary care and numerous pet shops. Search PropertyGuru for pet-friendly rentals. Singapore's climate is tropical — air conditioning is essential for cat comfort.

Vets & Common Parasites

Singapore has excellent veterinary care with multiple 24-hour emergency clinics (e.g., Animal Recovery Centre, Veterinary Emergency Service). The AVS regulates all veterinary practitioners. Common parasites: fleas (year-round), ticks, and intestinal worms. Singapore's tropical climate means continuous parasite prevention is essential. Heartworm is present in Singapore.
