City & Housing Tips

Kigali is the only practical destination. Rwanda is famously clean and well-organised for an African nation. The expat community in Kigali is growing. Basic pet services are available.

Vets & Common Parasites

Basic but improving vet care in Kigali. Limited options for specialist treatment. The pleasant highland climate (Kigali sits at 1,500m) is comfortable for cats. Rabies is present — vaccination essential.
