City & Housing Tips

Amman (Abdoun, Sweifieh, Jabal Amman) is the main destination. Jordan has a moderate pet culture with improving vet care. Many expat homes and apartments accept cats. The climate is hot and dry — indoor cats with AC are recommended in summer.

Vets & Common Parasites

Reasonable vet care in Amman with several modern clinics, some English-speaking. Costs are moderate. Outside Amman, vet care is very limited. Summer heat is intense — AC essential. Tick and flea prevention year-round.
