City & Housing Tips

Manama is the primary destination. Bahrain has a large expat community (~55% of population) and a growing pet culture. Several good vet clinics serve the expat community. Many villa compounds and apartments welcome cats. Indoor cats recommended due to extreme summer heat.

Vets & Common Parasites

Good vet care in Manama with several modern clinics catering to expats. Costs are moderate. Emergency services available. Summer heat is extreme (45°C+) — AC essential. Year-round flea and tick prevention needed.
