EVA Air

Cargo Only Airline

Pet Policy Overview

EVA Air is Taiwan's premier international airline, offering cargo-only pet transport on its network connecting Asia with North America, Europe, and Australasia. Pets are not permitted in the passenger cabin on any EVA Air flight. The airline's Taipei Taoyuan (TPE) hub is a major Asian transit point, and EVA Air Cargo handles live animal shipments with a strong safety and welfare reputation. EVA is a Star Alliance member, which helps coordinate multi-carrier pet relocations.

Pro Tip

For pets entering Taiwan, an import permit from the Bureau of Animal and Plant Health Inspection and Quarantine (BAPHIQ) is required, along with a health certificate, rabies vaccination, and microchip. Taiwan imposes a 7-day isolation period at a designated quarantine facility for pets arriving from most countries (except designated rabies-free nations). Plan well in advance and work with an approved pet relocation agent who can coordinate with EVA Air Cargo.

Restrictions

No cabin pets on any flight. Cargo only. Brachycephalic breeds face additional restrictions. Temperature restrictions apply during extreme heat — verify conditions on your travel dates. All pets require destination-country import documentation. Taiwan's quarantine requirements must be arranged in advance.
